Cocktail Hour: Bourbon Sour

Bourbon Sour

Every cocktail afficianto knows how they like their Whiskey Sour, and today we continue our on-going cocktail hour series, demonstrating how to make one our preferred way, with Bourbon instead of Whiskey and egg white. It’s probably one of our go-to recipes to impress a Bourbon lover, because it’s super classic, pretty darn special, and also easy to make if you have the tools.

Try making a round of these at your next dinner party!

INGREDIENTS:
2 oz Buffalo Trace Bourbon
1 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
¾ oz Simple Syrup
1 Large Egg White
Angostura Bitters

METHOD:

Combine bourbon, lemon juice, simple syrup, and one egg, and dry shake. Fill cocktail shaker with large chunk ice and shake for at least thirty seconds. Strain through a fine strainer into a chilled coupe. Dot top with three generous drops of Angostura’s aromatic bitters and swirl with a tooth pick.
