Brooklyn duo Chairlift shared the music video for “Crying in Public,” a beautiful track off their third album Moth. The clip finds singer Caroline Polacheck contemplating life in various NYC locations like Union Square and a near empty subway car.
‘Crying In Public’ was written about a kind of moment familiar to many New Yorkers, where you’re caught up in all these anxieties that seem huge, and then the smallest gesture from someone who loves you can stop you dead in your tracks, all the bullshit falls away, and you’re suddenly humbled by how overwhelmingly beautiful the world is. It’s the closest we have ever come to writing a devotional.
