We can’t wait for Chairlift’s third album Moth (due out the top of 2016) and can’t stop playing their irresistible video for “Ch-Ching” on repeat. Now the Brooklyn duo have shared a new single off their upcoming album. Titled “Romeo” it’s a bright, textured, fluttering piece with Polachek’s vocals soaring like a bird gliding all over the track. According to a press release to Pitchfork, Caroline Polachek and Patrick Wimberly wrote the song from the perspective of the Greek mythological character Atalanta. According to the myth, Atalanta was an unwanted princess left atop a mountain by her king father to die. She grows up in the wilderness raised by a bear and becomes a fierce huntress, unwilling to marry. Listen to the track check out the lyrics below.

Step up
Lover
Big talker
Take a number
I’ve got
All day
To wipe the smile off your face
If I win
You’re done with
But if you win you win my heart
Isn’t that what you want…

Hey Romeo
Put on your running shoes I’m ready to go
Hey Romeo
Put on your running shoes I’m ready to go

The only
Way he
Can catch up to me is to cheat
There is no
Veto
What’s done is done
Once I am beat
So roll me
Race me
With all your tricks and all your heart
I’m not wishing you luck…

Hey Romeo
Put on your running shoes I’m ready to go
Hey Romeo
Put on your running shoes I’m ready to go

On your mark
I’m gonna run til you give me a
Reason to stop
To fall on my knees
To need love
On your mark
I’m gonna run til you give me a
Reason to stop
To fall on my knees
To, to fall on my…

Hey Romeo
Put on your running shoes I’m ready to go
Hey Romeo
Put on your running shoes I’m ready to go
