Legacy camera manufacturer Canon has just announced a neat little piece of hardware specifically designed for film-making. The new camera is called the XC10 and is a compact 4K video camera that allows you to shoot full, cinema-grade Ultra HD resolution (3840 x 2160) video to a CFast or SD memory card. What does that mean? This is some professional level ish right here! Some of the other features included in this little badboy is a 1″ 12 megapixel sensor; fixed 10x optical zoom lens with built-in image stabilization; a tilting, touch-enabled LCD display; and an optical viewfinder loupe attachment. The camera performs extremely well in low-light due to a 20,000 ISO option, so a dark room will never again stop you from getting that perfect shot. The Canon XC10 4K Camera will release in June for roughly $2,500 USD, which is a steal.
