Canon debuts the new PowerShot N Facebook edition. The point-and-shoot camera features a unique square design, allowing it to be rotated and held in a variety of positions and orientations. Uniquely the camera has no buttons for zoom or for shooting. Everything is done via the touchscreen, sort of like on your iPhone. The Facebook button allows users to immediately post to the social network. The specs on the camera includes a 12.1-megapixel CMOS sensor, DIGIC 5 processor, 28-224mm f/3.0-5.9 8x optical zoom lens, and a 2.8-inch capacitive-touch tilting LCD. It’s worth remembering that because the camera is Wi-Fi rather than 3G/4G like any cellphone, you will need to be connected to Wi-Fi to post on Facebook.
The Canon Powershot N Facebook goes on sale in September for $300.
