Boston’s Bodega and ASICS have announced an upcoming collaboration in the form of a special “Underground” colourway of the ’90s Gel-Mai silhouette.
The collaborative Gel-Mai sticks to its athletic roots and features a sleek one-piece upper with an asymmetrical lacing system. Inspired by the juxtaposition of the vibrancy of Boston and the “legions of humans bones beneath its streets,” the whole ensemble is reminiscent of a human skeleton.
The Bodega x ASICS Gel-Mai “Underground” will retail for $170 USD and will be available exclusively from Bodega and bdgastore.com beginning June 23 . Watch the official announcement video below.
