Dev Hynes has been teasing us with minor details of his forthcoming new album, a follow up to 2011’s shiny debut Coastal Grooves and today he has released a video for a new track called “Chamakay” which features vocals from Chairlift’s Caroline Polachek and is directed by Kindness’ Adam Bainbridge.
The track is all kinds of awesome, as is the video shot on location in Georgetown, Guyana, and follows Hynes to various local spots, in the style of a travel video. We actually heard the new track performed live back at Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago earlier this summer, and you can watch a vine of Dev & Caroline on stage below in addition to today’s video clip.
