Björk is known for pushing the envelope in terms of creativity, and she’s done it yet again, this time using brand new never-before-seen technology. In a historic event, Björk will be performing her song “Quicksand” (off her 2015 Vulnicura album) using the world’s first 360 degree, Virtual Reality “stage”. The stream and technology comes courtesy of Dentsu Lab Tokyo and is part of Björk’s digital exhibition that opens at the Miraikan Museum Tokyo tomorrow.
Björk will be performing “Quicksand” live from the Miraikan Museum Tokyo, and is scheduled to perform in a special 3D printed lace mask (no surprises there) designed by Professor Nei Oxman of MIT Media Lab. Catch the performance live at 12pm GMT/ 8pm UTC today via the Dentsu Lab website.
