German footwear brand Birkenstock is unveiling a traveling pop-up shop in Berlin.
The shop, housed in a shipping container called the Birkenstock Box was designed by architectural firm Gonzalez Haase and will travel around the world. The shop’s exterior is made of chrome metal and glass, while the interior has a cork lining, just like Birkenstock’s famous cork footbed. The first stop for the Birkenstock Box is retail shop Andreas Murkudis in Berlin where it will stay from July 7-22. On July 25 the shop will travel to Berlin’s Bikini store and then onto the United States in August.
