From smoked out lids and glowing skin to side swept strands, last nights Golden Globe awards were kicked off the hottest beauty trends for the year to come. Below we break down the major trends and which products the stars executed them with on the red carpet.
Stay tuned for our spring beauty trends coming next week.
The Smoky Eye
Jennifer Lopez knocked this one out of the park. The intense smoky eye, and pale lip was a perfect combination for her gilded gown. Claire Danes showed off a beautiful, peacock blue smoky eye created by Matin for NARS Cosmetics. Matin used Giove Dual-Intensity Eyeshadow and Kaliste Eyeliner Pencil to create the look. Michelle Monaghan pulled off Spring’s 2015 plum-toned smoky eye beautifully. The look was subtle yet sexy, and had to be one of our favourite looks on the red carpet.
Red Lips
Of course the red lip had to make an appearance, and no one wore it better than Taylor Schilling – The bold brow and the red/orange lip, created by Tina Turnbow fit perfectly with that Red Ralph Lauren gown! Lorde and Naomi Watts were two others that kept the eyes neutral and skin luminous for a perfect bold, red pout.
The Extreme Side Part
The extreme side part made a bit of a comeback last night on the red carpet. Diane Kruger and Allison Williams chose to slick there’s down with a soft romantic wave framing the face. Sienna Miller went the more messy route and tossed her beachy bob to the side. Our favourite had to be Kate Mara who pinned her hair back for a look as care-free as it was elegant.
Glowing Skin
Angelic skin is always a huge hit at award shows. The Golden Globes did not fail us! Jennifer Lopez, Amy Adams and Rosamund Pike all glowed to perfection. To achieve this look at home a concealer two shades lighter on the high points of the face, will give your face that radiant look.
