Math-rock mind melters Battles are about to drop La Di Da Di, their follow-up to 2011’s Gloss Drop. It’s been four years since then, but if this single is any indication, it’s worth the wait. Plus the subtle sexual foody album art (above) is pretty rad. Known for dope video after dope video, their new Roger Guàrdia directed clip for “The Yabba” is no exception. There’s a perfectly still 70s girl spinning a basketball, scenic spinning landscapes, people spinning & hordes of people spinning around Battles, matched with contrasting moments of still. The whole thing will leave you dizzy with delight. The clip is nearly 7 minutes long, but it goes by in a flash.
