It’s about to get chilly my friends, and that means it’s time to put away the fascia and orange lippies and bring out the plum and cranberry shades. It’s an exciting time and we hope these products we’ve been testing out last month get you all in the mood for smokey yes and glorious sweater weather that’s forthcoming!
Jurlique – Rosewater Balancing Mist Intense
This product is how it sounds; a more intense version of Jurlique original balancing mist. The Intense mist features a blend of five precious rose extracts that help to balance skin tone, condition, and moisturize. It’s also created without any sulphates or paragons, so your skin will be left feeling soft and looking dewy.
Kat Von D Studded Kiss Lipstick COUNTESS
Now I know I said to pack up the orange, and I did mean it, except for this shade. Although, this lipstick has hints of orange the reds, it is matte and makes for the perfect pop of bold colour for autumn that will last for ten hours. The lipstick comes encased in a super-chic black studded tube, and once you have once, you’ll probably want to collect every colour, I can promise you that.
Yves Saint Laurent Fusion Ink Foundation SPF18
I can barely muster the words to describe how epic this foundation is. It wears so light on your face, you can hardly feel it. It has perfect coverage and even has an SPF18, which is so important. Needless to say this product is definitely worth the $60 and if you act fast, Sephora is offering a free sample with purchase right now! So get your hands on this foundation which is available in 21 shades.
Besides the fact that this product is utterly adorable, with teeny little drawers, it is a great staple to have in your makeup bag. With must-have shades for eyes, cheeks and face, it’s the perfect on-the-go item and for those that hate having to rummage through products. The kit includes an eye shadow quad, a face powder quad, a blusher quad, a mirror, a mini blush brush and a shadow applicator. Genius Givenchy!
Urban Decay – Pulp Fiction Palette
This palette is obviously fantastic just like the film, and has every shade to achieve Mia’s dark and sexy smokey eye. These shadows are great for blending, and are intensely pigmented to stay put through day or night. This is a limited edition palette, so make sure you act fast before it sells out!
Make Up Forever – Sculpting Kit
For me fall and winter is the perfect time for contouring. My reasoning behind this is that you sweat less. When contouring mixes with sweat, your makeup falls. I know you might think I’m joking, but your cheeks are by your mouth and your cheekbones are now your jaw. Not a good look! The MUFE Sculpting Kit only has two colours (by is available in four shades), the darker to contour and the lighter to highlight making it the perfect product for any contour beginner!
Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask Champagne Champagne Pearl
As a new season hits, it’s important to remember to keep everything moisturized. That includes the lips! The Bite Agave Mask is a great conditioning product that will keep your lips soft and give them a pretty rose gold finish without sulphates or parabens.
MAC ‘A Novel Romance’ Lipstick – Lingering Kiss
This shade is by far my favorite from the new collection at MAC. The matte plum is perfect for fall and doesn’t dry out the lips one bit. The Novel Romance Lipsticks are in high demand and selling out quick, so make sure to get one!
MAC ‘A Novel Romance’ Lipstick – A Novel Romance
Nudes are in, any time of year. For fall they are best paired with a smokey eye for that very provocative come-hither look. A Novel Romance is more of a pinky nude, that looks to-die-for on any skin tone. I can’t even tell you how many compliments I have gotten on this shade. Just like Lingering Kiss, get it fast before it sells out!
