As the cover was pulled from the Aston Martin Valen in Monterey, the crowd got its first look at the brand’s newest V12 special. Under the California sun, Aston Martin revealed a machine built to make a statement: the most powerful front-engined production car in the world and the most powerful front-engined Aston Martin in the company’s 113-year history.
Created by Q by Aston Martin, Valen is a full carbon-fibre supercar built around the brand’s 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12. The numbers set the tone: 850PS, 1000Nm of torque, a 0 to 60 mph sprint in 3.0 seconds and a top speed of 214 mph. But Valen is about more than headline figures. Aston Martin focused on creating a car with sharper responses, a stronger driver connection, and the kind of character expected of a flagship V12.

Weight reduction was central to the development. Valen drops up to 110kg compared with Aston Martin’s existing core V12 platform through the use of carbon fibre, aluminum, titanium and magnesium components. Lightweight wheels, revised suspension hardware and extensive chassis tuning help translate that weight savings into a more focused driving experience.
The soundtrack is just as important. A bespoke titanium exhaust system was created specifically for Valen, reducing weight while delivering a more intense V12 voice. The quad exhaust design adds visual drama and helps create the kind of high-revving sound that defines a modern Aston Martin special.
The design pushes the brand’s front-engined formula into more aggressive territory. Sharp sculpted lines, deeply recessed headlights, a dramatic bonnet, exposed carbon fibre options and muscular rear haunches give Valen a unique presence. Inside, the cabin follows a driver-focused philosophy with a slim centre console, 3D-printed details, and performance-focused seating options.
Limited to just 150 examples worldwide, Valen is the latest creation from Q by Aston Martin, following special projects including Valour, Valiant and DBR22. It is a modern V12 statement piece built for collectors, drivers and anyone who still believes a front-engined supercar can steal the spotlight.
