Ariel Pink follows up his “Put Your Number In My Phone” music video with the bizarre yet moving “Picture Me Gone.” Teaming back up with director Grant Singer (Foxygen, Sky Ferreira, Lo-Fang, DIIV) and shot across 15 locations in Los Angeles, it features three main characters seeking to make physical connections in search of intimacy, often failing at the intimacy part. Pam, Candace, and Heather are all wearing latex masks that can be disconcerting and I think they’re meant to be. They perform all activities wearing them (smoking, kissing, etc).
