Attention music loving fashion heads! Apple Music has just announced their second ever fashion partner, Clare Waight Keller, creative director behind French fashion house Maison Chloé. Following along behind Alexander Wang and just a day following Beats 1’s one year anniversary, Apple’s Fashion channel is growing ever more influential with each month.
Celebrating the ever strong link between fashion and music, Apple Music has partnered with Chloé for three collaborative playlists (and one short video) handpicked by Waight Keller for the month of July. The playlists showcase three different facets of the Chloé girl’s spirit and include a diverse musical range of artists including current hits, 90’s grunge, 80’s power ballads, and 70’s psychedelic tunes. Various #chloeGIRLS like Solange, Christine & The Queens, Florence & The Machine and Flo Morrissey are also included throughout the mixes, particularly one entirely female mix aptly titled #chloeGIRLS.
Each mix tells a new Chloé story from Waight Keller inducing what she frequently listens to on road trips, during music festival season and highlights artists both established and emerging that have previously worked with the fashion house.
Weight Keller had the following to say about the collaboration:
“Music is such a vital component to our creative process at Chloé, from listening to the iPod in the studio to our close collaboration with Michel Gaubert to create the soundtrack for each runway show. It gives our Chloé girl her walk, and helps to create a fresh, optimistic atmosphere for the entire season.”
Launching today, the permanent Chloé channel will continue to release new playlists following their featured month, just when you thought Beats 1 and your fave artist’s connect page had you covered music-wise.
