It appears that Apple has done away with the proposed iPad Air 2 and announced an updated 9.7-inch model dubbed simply the iPad.
The new generation of their signature tablet maintains the Retina display and replaces the previous A8X processor with the company’s new A9 version. This is also the cheapest iPad option to date, starting at $449 CAD for the 32GB Wi-Fi model and $619 CAD for the 32GB cellular model.
The new iPad will be available in silver, gold and space grey beginning March 24 online and starts delivering to customers and arriving next week in Apple Stores, through select carriers and Apple Authorized Resellers.
