Annie Leibovitz and Mikhail Baryshnikov star in the latest Louis Vuitton ad campaign entitled “Core Values”. Proposed by Vuitton’s communication director Antoine Arnault as a gesture of support, given Leibovitz’s highly publicized finacial issues. In lieu of payment, Leibovitz asked if they could hire someone famous to pose with her instead of the self-portrait project initially suggested.
The photo was taken in Leibovitz’s New York studio and depicts the photographer eyeing her subject with her own monogram Neverfull Vuitton bag full of books next to her.  The caption below the ad reads “The journey of a star, captured in a flash.” and will appear in print and online publications on February 1st, 2010.
