We’ve been following the Jaguar Type 01 journey from the beginning, from its early reveals to its world premiere in New York. The latest chapter brings together three British originals: Annie Leibovitz, Florence Pugh and Jaguar’s bold new vision.

Following Pugh’s appointment as the first ambassador of Jaguar’s new era, Leibovitz captured a portrait series that places the actor and the Type 01 on equal footing. Few photographers have the ability to capture character and individuality like Leibovitz, making her the perfect creative force to document this moment.

Rather than treating the Type 01 as a backdrop, Leibovitz photographed both subjects as distinct personalities, exploring the contrast between human presence and automotive design.

“What interested me most about this portrait series was photographing two extraordinary and contrasting subjects,” said Leibovitz. “Florence brings warmth, presence and humanity, while Type 01 is sculpted, precise and striking in its form.”

The collaboration follows the Type 01 world premiere at STORIED in New York, a venue that once housed Leibovitz’s studio. It’s a fitting setting for Jaguar’s next era, connecting its future vision with a space built around creativity.

With Pugh representing Jaguar’s new identity and Leibovitz capturing it through her unmistakable lens, the Type 01 continues to prove this journey has always been about more than a vehicle. It’s about design, originality and the culture surrounding it.
