Earlier this month we had the pleasure of joining Alicia Keys in New York to kick off the festive season with Apple Music. As part of Apple Music Live which has featured Billie Elish, Wizkid, Harry Styles and others, she invited her friends and fans to the grand United Palace in Washington Heights for a holiday masquerade ball. The dress code? “Holiday glitter and glamour, and don’t forget your mask,” so we put on our best sequined attire and went full eyes wide shut for the evening.
In celebration of her new holiday album ‘Santa Baby’ which dropped in early November in Spatial Audio, Keys welcomed her fans and friends inside the gilded theatre for her first-ever holiday masquerade. She commanded the glitzed up crowd with ease performing a mix of songs from the new holiday album as well as fan favourites like “Empire State Of Mind,” “Girl On Fire,” and “No one.” Keys was also joined onstage by emerging artist and TikTok sensation JVKE for a special edition of his trendy hit “Golden Hour” as well as Academy Award-winning artist Jon Batiste who joined Keys for a medley of covers by Nat King Cole, Nina Simone and others.
In case you’re feeling a bit of holiday jealousy, don’t fret, they’ll be streaming the whole performance later this week in 165 countries on Apple Music and TikTok on December 21st at 4pm EST & 7pm PST.
For now check out the trailer below and stream ‘Santa Baby’ on Apple Music now.
