Toronto has gotten a new infusion of luxury with the opening of the brand new Canadian flagship store for New York City-based contemporary brand Alexander Wang. The 2,500-square-foot store in the heart of Toronto’s downtown luxury strip, Bloor Street West, joins the ranks of other luxury Canadian flagships, including Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Dior, Tiffany & Co., Prada, Cartier, and more. As expected from the brand, the new flagship is one of the flashiest boutiques on the strip while maintaining a minimalist feel with mirrored ceilings, mirror-polished stainless steel tube walls, industrial concrete floors, and columns. Mirrors are used throughout the space, giving it a feeling of vastness that mingles well with the rest of the industrial vibe. Meanwhile, the dressing rooms are a vibrant red that oozes a sense of seduction and passion.

When asked why Alexander Wang chose Toronto and Bloor Street specifically as the location for their fourth North American location and first Canadian boutique, CCO Kristin Pasternack explains: “Canada is an important market for our brand, and we’re excited to welcome our Toronto customers and the community to our new flagship. As a premier global luxury shopping destination, Bloor Street was an ideal location to open our first Canadian flagship and our fourth North American store.”


Until now, Canadians were only able to acquire Wang pieces at Holt Renfrew, TNT The New Trend, The Webster in Toronto, and of course the megalith Montreal-based SSENSE. With the new Bloor Street Alexander Wang flagship store, customers can get pieces not available elsewhere, including a new limited edition shirt, as well as women’s and men’s ready-to-wear, footwear, accessories, and body wear.
