adidas Originals and New York based artist Daniel Arsham have unveiled their first collaborative sneaker. Quite fittingly, Arsham’s silhouette of choice is the adidas New York, no doubt a nod to his home.
The sneaker plays on themes found in Arsham’s work including archaeology and 20th century cultural artifacts, and is constructed from a deteriorated canvas upper with frayed edges. There are also hidden details, including a ultraviolet ink print that reads “THE PAST IS PRESENT” when placed under UV light.
