Swedish multi-disciplinary fashion brand Acne Studios is set to release the latest issue of their editorial presentation, Acne Paper issue 18, for Spring 2023. Inspired and created around the idea of a house with a fantastical collection of furniture, art and objects. The imaginary house is furnished with an assortment of pieces by contemporary designers and iconic items in the history of decorative arts, from surreal objets d’art to ancient antiques. The house has nine rooms and a garden. Thus, we get ten chapters featuring a photographic story or an informal interview with an equal number of remarkable people from the world of art, design, architecture, performance, literature and interiors, such as Jordan HemingwaySharna Osborne, and Théo de Gueltzi.

The book features 151 objects, amongst which are wall hangings by El Anatsui, Peter Collingwood and Hiva Alizadeh, paintings by Chris Ofili, Francis Picabia and Jacques-Émile Blanche, chairs by Philippe Malouin, Shigeru Uchida and Hannah Levy, tables by Faye Toogood, Hervé Van der Straeten, Joseph Walsh and Rick Owens, cutlery by Salvador Dalí, and an 18k gold toilet by Maurizio Cattelan, just to name a few. A scholarly caption in the style of a collectable auction catalogue illuminates each object. The cover artwork, which is the house itself an Art Deco villa adorned with a blue celestial temple flanked by two elegant Pierrot figures, is by Pablo Bronstein.
