French fashion brand A.P.C. has entered the eyewear game with its first-ever glasses collection. The collection consists of several unisex models named after a member or collaborator of the legendary New York rock band The Velvet Underground. The glasses all feature matching anti-glare lenses with high UV protection and are subtly branded with an engraved A.P.C. logo on the lenses and temples, and come with a faux leather case and a microfiber cloth with a quote from Jean Touitou on it stating “wait and see.”

The collection consists of four frames in up to four different colours, depending on the silhouette. The “Lou,” named after the band’s frontman Lou Reed, features a retro-futuristic design and is available in smoky gray, khaki, clear, and black. The “Moe,” named after the band’s second drummer, Maureen Tucker, is a square frame that blends metal and acetate in matte gold, tortoiseshell, and black and khaki marble. The  “Nico,” named after German singer, model, and actress, is also made of metal and acetate with a tortoiseshell and yellow colourway. Lastly, the “Sterling” is a classic aviator model in dark tortoiseshell and marbled khaki, named after guitarist and founding member Sterling Morrison.

A.P.C.’s debut sunglasses collection is available now at select A.P.C. stores and online.
