As the climax of this year’s landmark 5th edition of Manifesto Festival, Live At The Square, the festival’s ceremonial main event at Yonge-Dundas Square, returns this year bigger and more ambitious than ever. Manifesto’s Live At The Square includes main-stage performances, a bboy/bgirl open dance floor, graffiti wall and Open Canvas Project artwork, the Freshest Goods Market, workshops, and many more surprises.
Sunday’s all day outdoor block party transforms Yonge-Dundas Square into Toronto’s multidisciplinary urban arts playground backed by a free concert showcasing some of Canada’s musical legends and emerging talent. A handful of international guests will also contribute to making this one of the most memorable outdoor music events of the summer.
Headlining artists include legendary hip hop pioneers Rakim & Kid Capri, contemporary favorites 9th Wonder & Phonte, Blu & Exile and Stalley. The event will also shine light on Canadian talent with a very special performance by female hip hop hero Michie Mee alongside DJ X, and local conscious rap crew The Freedom Writers & Swee Touch Foundation. JD Era, A-Game, beatboxer KRNFX, and The Narcicyst will also grace the stage.
