We have spent years building a more connected digital life through our phones, watches, computers, and services. But the idea of a truly integrated future only works if the place where we spend so much of our time can become part of that ecosystem too: the home.

With that in mind, Apple is making its biggest move yet into the connected home space. Today, the company introduced Apple HomeView, the next-generation Apple TV 4K, HomePod mini 2, and the new Apple Home Collection, a suite of products designed to bring entertainment, communication, and smart home management together in one place.

Apple has already become a major part of how people communicate, work, create, and consume content. Now, the company is bringing that same philosophy into the home, creating a more seamless way for technology to fit into everyday life.

At the centre of the announcement is Apple HomeView, a new device designed to become the main hub of the Apple home experience. HomeView brings entertainment, connection, and smart home controls together while making the experience personal for everyone in the house. It recognizes users by their faces, allowing people to access their own content and features Siri AI, an entirely new version of Siri designed to be more capable and conversational.

The interesting part is how Apple is approaching HomeView’s role. This is not just another screen designed to sit on a counter. It can be placed on a tabletop as the centre of the home or mounted on a wall in spaces like hallways and entryways, allowing it to blend into the surrounding environment.

The next-generation Apple TV 4K also plays a larger role in Apple’s home strategy. While it remains a way to watch movies and shows, Apple is expanding its capabilities with Siri AI, changing how users search for, discover, and enjoy entertainment. With built-in far-field microphones, Apple TV 4K allows people to interact with Siri completely hands-free. It also continues to serve as a home hub, making it easier to manage smart home accessories and scenes.

HomePod mini 2 brings the same connected approach into a smaller package. The next generation speaker delivers enhanced audio experiences, new colours, and support for Siri AI, which will roll out in English later this year. Whether used as a single speaker, paired for stereo sound, or connected throughout multiple rooms, HomePod mini 2 is designed to bring richer audio into more areas of the home.

The speaker also continues Apple’s focus on a more personalized home experience. Different users can manage connected accessories, control automations, and interact with their home using simple voice commands.

Alongside the new hardware, Apple is expanding the ecosystem with the Apple Home Collection, a new lineup of smart home accessories created in collaboration with LG Electronics and Schneider Electric. The products are designed to set up easily with one tap using iPhone and are managed through the Apple Home app without requiring separate apps or accounts.

That simplicity is really the bigger story. Smart home technology has existed for years, but it has often meant managing different products, platforms, and apps. Apple’s latest move is about bringing those pieces together and making the experience feel less complicated.

The Apple Home Collection gives users new ways to understand what is happening inside and outside their homes, manage access, and maintain comfortable temperatures throughout the day.

Apple HomeView and the next-generation Apple TV 4K are available for pre-order today, with availability beginning November 13. HomePod mini 2 can be pre-ordered starting today, with availability beginning Friday, October 30. The Apple Home Collection begins arriving in December, with select accessories available starting early 2027.

Apple has already changed how people interact with technology in their pockets, on their wrists, and at their desks. Now, the company is making its case for becoming a bigger part of the place where all those experiences come together, at home.
