From the front row at Espace Niemeyer, Casablanca’s Spring/Summer 2027 show felt like a full-circle moment for Charaf Tajer. A space he passed growing up near Belleville became the setting for a collection built around where he came from, where he is now, and everything that exists between the two.

Titled Amor e Progresso, the collection was Tajer’s personal reflection on progress, culture, and connection. Inspired by Brazil, it explored the idea that origins do not define destinations. As Tajer put it, “The impossible can be possible. You never know where tomorrow may take you.”

Inside Oscar Niemeyer’s only building in France, modernist architecture collided with the energy of Brazil. The space was transformed with vegetation, bringing the spirit of the jungle, the beach, and the country’s endless contrasts into the room.

Brazil was the heartbeat. Carnival, football, tropical landscapes, and the relaxed rhythm of beach life shaped a collection where opposites naturally came together. Tailoring met sportswear. Silk shirts moved alongside football references. Formal dressing loosened up. Casablanca has always lived in that space between worlds, and this season pushed it further.

Niemeyer’s curved architecture appeared in the collection’s silhouettes and new Casablanca logo, while Brazil’s colours and textures came through in tropical prints, sculptural tailoring, crochet, knitwear, sequins, beads, and fringe. The clothes carried movement, built to shift between city, beach, and celebration.

Accessories continued the playful language of the house, with updated Stade and Khopesh sneakers, crochet bags, hotel slippers inspired by the Copacabana Palace, and jewelry that felt collected rather than manufactured.

Amor e Progresso was not about choosing one side over another. It was about letting everything coexist. Culture and sport. Luxury and ease. Structure and freedom. From the front row, it felt like Casablanca at its most honest: a world with no strict rules, only the freedom to bring different influences together.
