For Spring/Summer 2027, Brunello Cucinelli explores the idea of savoir-faire not simply as craftsmanship, but as a natural confidence in how exceptional pieces can be made and worn.
Titled “The Nature of Savoir-Faire,” the Milan presentation brought together the house’s signature refinement with a sense of ease, balancing the exceptional and the everyday, functionality and femininity, tradition and modernity.
The collection draws on what Cucinelli calls “elective affinities,” bringing together unexpected combinations inspired by Nordic seas, a bygone elegance and a contemporary metropolitan attitude. Raffia meets organza, sailor stripes are paired with gold, and workwear silhouettes are softened with crochet and delicate tailoring.
Shirts borrow details from bomber jackets and trench coats, while organza, striped poplin and denim are reimagined as distinctly summery outerwear. Utility dressing is given a feminine ease through fluid lines and lightweight materials, while denim is elevated through new silhouettes and techniques that give the everyday fabric a couture sensibility.
The colour palette moves through white, rope and ivory alongside khaki, cardamom, clay, leather, Corten and pecan. Accents of primary red and luminous blue bring energy, while nude, pale skin, peony, cream, wheat and sunflower create a softer, sun-warmed mood. Gold adds a final touch of evening polish against Panama, black and leather.
Knitwear remains at the heart of the collection and perhaps its clearest expression of Cucinelli’s approach to craftsmanship. Diagonal weaves inspired by Viennese canework are embroidered or crocheted by hand, extending across skirts, T-shirts and accessories. Mesh and honeycomb textures bring transparency and lightness, while unexpected yarns and handcrafted details give traditional techniques a distinctly modern attitude.
The result is a collection built less around perfection than harmony: where craftsmanship feels effortless, utility becomes elegance and the everyday is given the attention it deserves.
