Mercedes-Benz Canada is celebrating 140 years of innovation at this year’s Cobble Beach Concours d’Elegance with a showcase that spans the brand’s past, present, and future. Taking place in Owen Sound on September 19 and 20, the weekend includes the Canadian debut of the 2027 Mercedes-Benz S-Class, giving attendees an early look at the flagship sedan, its updated MBUX infotainment system, and an illuminated Mercedes-Benz star and grille making their first appearance on the model. On the concours lawn, nearly nine decades of engineering are represented by everything from the elegant 1937 Mercedes-Benz 540K Sport Cabriolet to the Formula One-inspired Mercedes-AMG ONE, one of the most ambitious production cars the company has ever built. The celebration also extends beyond the show field with Mercedes-Benz Heritage Chief Corporate Archivist Armin Gröger leading a seminar at Owen Sound’s Historic Roxy Theatre, exploring the engineering breakthroughs and innovations that helped define the marque. For anyone heading to Cobble Beach, it is a rare chance to see where Mercedes-Benz has been and where it is headed, all in one weekend.
