After the success of Rouge Dior On Stage Shine, Dior is turning its attention to matte just in time for fashion month. Under the direction of Peter Philips, Creative and Image Director for Dior Makeup, the house introduces Rouge Dior On Stage Matte and Rouge Dior On Stage Ink Blur Matte, two new formulas designed to make matte lipstick feel anything but conventional.

The first, Rouge Dior On Stage Matte, delivers an intense velvet finish with 24-hour no-transfer wear. Its innovative double-phase formula combines an “ultra-color” phase that anchors pigment with a soft-blur phase of perfecting powders, creating a smoothing veil over the lips without sacrificing comfort. Available in 10 shades, the palette moves from understated nudes to more daring colours, including the rosy-brown 380 Nude Ultra On Stage Matte and vibrant 460 Red On Stage Matte.

For something softer, Rouge Dior On Stage Ink Blur Matte takes the matte lip in a more diffused direction. The lightweight liquid formula creates a blurred, “cloudy-lip” effect with buildable intensity: one swipe delivers a sheer wash of colour, while additional layers create a more dramatic finish. It also offers 24-hour no-transfer wear, with a cushiony applicator designed for precise application.

Meanwhile, Rouge Dior On Stage Shine expands with two new shades, including a glowing 328 Dazzling Rose and a new interpretation of Dior’s iconic 999 red.

Modelled by Dior ambassador Jenna Ortega, the campaign captures the disruptive spirit of Rouge Dior shot by Gordon von Steiner and Oliver Hadlee Pearch. Ortega leaves the red carpet behind for a Parisian after-party, wearing Rouge Dior On Stage Matte as the night unfolds. Watch below.
