FKA twigs and Swiss performance brand On are shifting the conversation around movement from performance to recovery with their Fall/Winter 2026 collaboration, introducing the Cloudmonster 3 Mule, On’s first-ever mule silhouette.
The new collection marks a different direction for the ongoing partnership between the artist and the performance brand. Rather than focusing solely on training and exertion, the collaboration explores what happens after the performance: slowing down, restoring the body and creating space for recovery.
At the centre of the collection is the Cloudmonster 3 Mule, a backless, slip-on interpretation of On’s technical footwear designed specifically for slower days and post-performance restoration. It incorporates a triple-layered CloudTec® cushioning system alongside the brand’s Speedboard® technology and Helion™ superfoam, bringing On’s performance engineering into a more relaxed silhouette with a soft terry lining and adjustable hook-and-loop strap to further emphasize comfort.
The mule arrives in two understated, earth-inspired colourways, Cacao / Espresso and Loess / Hare, drawing from natural pigments and terrestrial landscapes. The restrained palette gives the otherwise highly technical silhouette a more lifestyle-oriented feel, blurring the line between recovery footwear and everyday dressing.
The footwear is accompanied by a relaxed apparel collection designed around the same philosophy highlighting the Club Collective Full Zip Hoodie, Club Collective Pants and Studio Bodysuit, all with tactile fabrics and ease of movement rather than traditional performance construction.
FKA twigs has also shaped the project beyond the products themselves. For the launch in Seoul, she directed an immersive somatic performance at Oil Tank Culture Park, working with dancers and sound to explore the physical experience of unwinding. The accompanying campaign, photographed by Sharna Osborne, draws on the visual language of 1990s VHS footage.
There is something particularly timely about the collection’s focus. As wellness increasingly moves beyond the idea of maximizing performance, recovery has become its own discipline, from sleep and mobility to nervous-system regulation and intentional rest. The On x FKA twigs collaboration approaches that shift through design, asking what our clothing and footwear can do when the goal is not to go further or faster, but to come back to ourselves.
The On x FKA twigs Fall/Winter 2026 collection launches globally on August 27, with the Cloudmonster 3 Mule priced at $180 USD.
