Samsung unveiled its latest Galaxy lineup today at Galaxy Unpacked in London, introducing a new generation of foldable smartphones, refreshed smartwatches, and a broader vision for its Galaxy AI ecosystem. Canadian pre-orders for the new devices are open now.
Headlining the announcement is the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, an 8-inch foldable that Samsung says is built to replace a laptop for multitasking, productivity, and content creation. The company also introduced the Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Flip8, both of which build on Samsung’s foldable lineup with updated cameras, new Galaxy AI features, and refined designs. The Flip8 also adds wireless DeX support for the first time, giving users another way to extend the device beyond its compact form factor.
The wearable lineup also gets a refresh with the Galaxy Watch Ultra2 and Galaxy Watch9. The Ultra2 is designed for outdoor adventures with a brighter display, larger battery, rugged titanium construction, and advanced GPS features, while the Watch9 leans into everyday wellness with sleep apnea detection, heart health monitoring, and personalized health insights.
Samsung also used the event to tease what’s next for its ecosystem, previewing AI-powered smart glasses developed with Google, Gentle Monster, and Warby Parker. Rather than replacing your smartphone, the glasses are designed to work alongside it, bringing Galaxy AI into an everyday wearable.
To help protect the investment, Samsung is also offering Samsung Care+, which extends coverage beyond the standard manufacturer warranty with options including same-day walk-in repairs and mail-in service.
On paper, Samsung’s latest lineup feels more like a refinement than a reinvention. The company is clearly betting that foldables and AI have moved beyond early adoption and into everyday life, with hardware that feels increasingly connected across phones, wearables, and what’s coming next.
Of course, launch events only tell part of the story. While tech influencers are already showing off the devices in hand, the real test begins once they leave the demo tables and make their way into people’s pockets and daily routines.
