Ford teaming up with Seattle-based Filson for the 2027 Bronco feels like one of those collaborations that just makes sense without overcooking. It is Ford pushing the Bronco further into premium territory while still holding onto its dirt-under-the-fingernails identity.

Filson has always been about rugged outdoor gear built to be used hard and kept for years. That idea hits differently when you have actually lived with it. We still use a Filson camera bag from the limited-edition Magnum collection that is no longer available, and it is one of the best pieces of kit for carrying gear. That kind of longevity feels aligned with what this Bronco is trying to be.

Inside, the Bronco Filson leans into that same philosophy. Quilted leather, bronze accents, and a leather wrapped steering wheel set a more elevated tone, but nothing feels fragile or overdesigned. It is clearly built to age, not to be babied.

The practical side is where it really lands. Door and rear-mounted storage bags can be pulled out and carried straight into the field. They are water- and dirt-resistant, with magnetic closures that keep everything quick and unfussy. It is a small detail, but it changes how the vehicle fits into real use.

Underneath, it stays true to what a Bronco is supposed to be. A twin-turbo 3.0-litre EcoBoost V6 from the Bronco Raptor setup pairs with the Sasquatch package, bringing 35-inch tires, locking differentials, and Fox shocks ready for real terrain. It is still a proper off-roader, just with a more composed on-road feel than before.

Ford also improves livability in a meaningful way, cutting wind noise by roughly 20% compared to earlier Broncos. It still feels open-air when you want it, but noticeably more settled when it is buttoned up.

With pricing expected in the mid-70,000-dollar range, it sits in that growing space of premium off-roaders. Not luxury in a soft sense, just more considered, more capable, and more intentional about long-term ownership.

The Bronco Filson works because it doesn’t try to reinvent anything. It is the same rugged foundation, just refined through a shared belief in gear that earns its keep over time. We can’t wait to give it a drive.
