Hot on the heels of their first collaboration with Cecilie Bahnsen, UNIQLO just announced another hot collaboration for the summer with plans to reunite with former Marni creative director Francesco Risso for a capsule collection arriving June 18th.

Titled Made for Dreaming, the collection translates Risso’s characteristically expressive approach into UNIQLO’s everyday wardrobe staples and it’s safe to say we will be needing the entire collection. Structured yet relaxed silhouettes are paired with hand-drawn prints, sun-faded colours, and fluid proportions across a lineup of menswear and womenswear designed for both daily wear and summer getaways.

Highlights include bowtie blouses, sculptural dresses, ruffled skirts, striped cotton shirting, oversized T-shirts, and quick-dry pique polos, alongside accessories like silk scarves and twill caps. Many of the pieces lean into a unisex sensibility, reflecting Risso’s interest in clothing that feels both practical and playful.

Following Risso’s appointment as creative director for Group brand GU earlier this year and previous work in 2022 with the Marni collaboration, the collection comes at a time where high fashion houses are shifting their focus to access for all amid the luxury fashion slump.

The collaboration marks Risso’s first project with UNIQLO since 2022 and arrives following his tenure at Marni, where he served as creative director from 2016 to 2025. Now as creative director of GU, Risso describes the collection as an exploration of “accessible clothing carrying imagination at scale,” balancing utility with artistry through colour, print, and ease.
