Louis Vuitton Men’s continues to tap into nostalgia with the release of the LV Tatic Runner, a new silhouette shaped by Pharrell’s ongoing direction for the house. Pulling clear influence from 1990s running culture, the sneaker blends retro athletic design with the kind of elevated finish expected from the Parisian label.

The LV Tatic Runner leans into a layered build, combining breathable mesh with structured technical materials across the upper. The mix gives it a textured, performance-driven feel, while hits of vibrant colour and retro-inspired graphics bring in that throwback energy. Along the side, the LV Initials land front and center, grounding the more dynamic elements with a familiar house signature.

There has been a noticeable dip lately in genuinely cool, functional sneaker design from luxury houses. Whether it is a reaction to the high highs of Virgil at Louis Vuitton and Nike, Kim Jones at Dior, or Balenciaga’s run, the output of truly wearable and exciting sneakers has felt limited. That is what makes the LV Tatic Runner stand out. It actually delivers that “must cop” energy, which feels both refreshing and a little frustrating if you are already thinking about tracking down a pair. One of the common threads here is Thibo, the sneaker designer who previously worked at Dior and is now at Louis Vuitton. Combined with Pharrell’s vision, it starts to make a lot of sense.

Underfoot, the focus shifts to comfort and wearability. The sneaker sits on an ultra-lightweight outsole engineered for a responsive, bouncy ride, making it an easy option for all-day use. Vuitton branding carries through on the sole, tying the performance aspect back to the brand’s heritage without overdoing it.

With the LV Tatic Runner, Louis Vuitton continues to build out its footwear lineup while nodding to the past in a way that feels current. The sneaker is available now at select Louis Vuitton retail stores.
