Brain Dead reunites with MALIN+GOETZ for a second collaboration, this time reworking the apothecary’s “Leather” fragrance into a limited edition capsule that blends scent with a distinct visual edge. Rooted in ideas of frontier nostalgia and an interstellar edge, the project reframes leather as something both familiar and slightly otherworldly.
Originally launched in 2019, the Leather scent builds from lotus flower, pepper, and clove into a floral core of orchid and green violet, before settling into leather, cedarwood, and sandalwood. The composition is meant to mirror the warmth of a well-worn jacket, balancing softness with depth.
For the drop, Brain Dead applies its graphic-driven packaging across a tight range that includes a standard candle, perfume oil, and a new oversized supercandle poured in a custom glass vessel with robin’s egg blue wax.
Released today, March 31, the limited capsule is priced at $42 USD for the perfume oil, $72 USD for the candle, and $205 USD for the supercandle and available now.
