For its 2026 Re-Nylon campaign, Prada continues its collaboration with National Geographic CreativeWorks, marking the fourth year of a partnership that merges fashion with environmental storytelling. Fronted by Benedict Cumberbatch and Letitia Wright, the campaign unfolds through documentary-style films set in Japan’s Izu Peninsula and Oahu, Hawaii.

At its core is SEA BEYOND, Prada’s ongoing initiative developed with the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission of UNESCO, focuses on ocean education and preservation. The films place the ocean at the center, linking fashion imagery with real-world ecosystems and the impact of human activity.

First launched in 2019, the Re-Nylon collection remains central to this message. Created from regenerated materials including fishing nets and plastic waste, the collection translates sustainability into design through accessories and ready-to-wear in oceanic blues and earth tones.

In Japan, Cumberbatch’s journey introduces the work of Sakana-kun, whose SEA BEYOND-supported programs engage students directly with marine life. These moments ground the campaign in education and community, reinforcing its broader purpose.

By combining material innovation with documentary storytelling, Prada positions Re-Nylon as more than a collection. It becomes a platform for awareness, education, and ongoing environmental engagement, with a portion of proceeds continuing to support the SEA BEYOND initiative.
