Apple Original Films has dropped the first look at Outcome, the latest project from Jonah Hill, marking his long-awaited return to the director’s chair.
The dark comedy stars Keanu Reeves as Reef Hawk, a beloved Hollywood actor whose carefully curated life begins to unravel after he’s targeted with a mysterious extortion plot. Threatened by a video that could destroy his career, Reef is forced into a chaotic and deeply personal mission to uncover the truth—while confronting the past he’s long tried to outrun.
Co-written by Hill and Ezra Woods, Outcome leans into themes of fame, accountability, and redemption, blending absurdity with introspection. As Reef retraces his steps, he reconnects with key figures from his life, including his closest friends, played by Cameron Diaz and Matt Bomer, and his crisis lawyer, portrayed by Hill himself.
The film is stacked with a wide-ranging ensemble that includes Susan Lucci, Laverne Cox, David Spade, Martin Scorsese, Kaia Gerber, and more, adding layers of unpredictability to what already looks like a surreal ride through Hollywood’s underbelly.
