Gucci is pushing deeper into the digital space, this time with a playful twist. Teaming up with Google Gemini, the house has transformed its “La Famiglia” collection into an interactive game, La Famiglia: Mystery Unfolds.
The experience drops players straight into the brand’s eccentric universe, opening with a call from La Contessa and quickly unfolding into a full-blown whodunit. Set inside a lavish villa, the story centers around a stolen piece of jewelry, with players cast as detectives tasked with identifying the culprit before the night is over.
More than just a branded activation, the project signals a shift in how Gucci approaches storytelling. Built using Google Gemini, the game reimagines the brand’s e-commerce platform as an immersive environment. It’s a natural progression for Gucci, especially under Demna, whose track record of merging fashion with digital culture stretches back to his time at Balenciaga. From virtual worlds to experimental retail rollouts, Demna has consistently explored how technology can reshape the fashion experience.
La Famiglia: Mystery Unfolds also builds on Gucci’s growing list of digital ventures, from metaverse crossovers to gaming integrations, reinforcing the idea that the runway no longer exists in isolation. Instead, collections now live across multiple platforms, physical, digital, and increasingly, interactive.
Part campaign, part game, the project invites users to do more than just view a collection, it asks them to step inside it. And in true Gucci fashion, nothing is quite as it seems. Click here to play.
