Etro has announced that Creative Director Marco De Vincenzo will step down from his role, bringing to a close nearly four years leading the Italian house’s creative direction. According to the brand, the decision was made mutually as the company enters a new strategic phase. During his tenure, De Vincenzo played a key role in shaping a renewed visual identity for the Milan-based label, presenting collections that reinterpreted the house’s signature design codes while guiding it through a period of stylistic evolution.

De Vincenzo joined Etro in 2022, overseeing both women’s and men’s collections and helping introduce a fresh perspective to the brand’s storied aesthetic, known for its rich prints, artisanal craftsmanship, and the iconic paisley motif. His work marked a chapter of creative renewal for the maison as it expanded its lifestyle offering across ready-to-wear, accessories, and other categories.

Etro has long been recognized for its textile heritage and eclectic approach to design since it’s founding in 1968. In recent years, the company has also undergone notable shifts behind the scenes, including investment changes following the acquisition of a majority stake by L Catterton in 2021 and the arrival of additional industrial investors in 2025.

The brand thanked De Vincenzo for his creativity and dedication during his time at the house, while expressing confidence in the next stage of its evolution. No successor has been announced yet, leaving the industry watching closely to see who might take the reins of the Italian luxury label’s next creative chapter.
