Parisian brand Gauchere, founded by Marie-Christine Statz, has made a name for themselves with their minimal aesthetic and sharp focus on tailoring. For Fall Winter 2026, Statz stayed the course with a collection that explored mass and void through sculptural tailoring and controlled volume. The intentional shaping and volume was meant to offer an intimate feel, what the brand called a “restrained sensuality.”

Statz created a mineral palette of black, grey, burgundy and taupe, with accents of acid olive, blush, light mocha and white. She also played with a variety of fabrics, including technical nylons done with traditional tailoring, generous wool jackets, silk viscose, and layered crepe wools and jerseys. The balance of soft and structured through materials and draping was intentional to create a movement to the silhouettes.

The collection offered feminine, yet modern options for the contemporary woman. It’s easy to imagine her wearing Gauchere as she breezes from the office to drinks with friends. It’s refreshing to see that Statz continues to design clothing for real people, while maintaining her less conventional sensibility.
