The excitement happens outside the show, just ask Uma Wang who turned to the line outside the opera house, for her Fall Winter 2026 collection (someone might want to tell Timothée Chalamet). “In that suspended moment before doors open, where people adjust themselves, meticulously,” the press release reads,”there is no uniformity, only intentions.”
Wang explored a lot of sculptural draping and exaggerated proportions in the collection, seen in the tailored sleeve jackets, glossy rain gear, and ballooned trousers. She turned to linens, wools, and jacquard, as key fabrics, while the warm palette got occasional hits of ice and primary blue. The giant checkerboard prints were found throughout, from outerwear to dresses, while the oversized bows added a decidedly feminine touch.
The 1930s bowler hats were a nod the men’s collection she presented in Milan, while gloves (slouchy elbow length and wrist length) were the key accessory. The fluid dresses and separates in crushed velvet were standout pieces for evening. Whether you’re headed to the opera or an equally thrilling soirée, Uma Wang has you covered.
