Charles Jeffrey Loverboy presents its Spring Summer 2026 collection Prepared Piano, revealed through a documentary and lookbook created in collaboration with Abbey Road Studios. This season, music is not just a reference point but the driving force behind the collection itself.
“For 2025, fashion for fashion’s sake feels vulgar,” says creative director Charles Jeffrey. Instead, SS26 is shaped by the tactile and analogue processes of music making, drawing directly from Abbey Road’s history of experimentation and innovation.
The collection distills archetypes found in the studio’s vast archive. Executives in sharp tailoring, musicians whose formality softened into function across the sixties and seventies, and engineers in lab coats hunched over recording equipment all inform the silhouettes. These figures are reimagined through a contemporary lens, from Gen Z bedroom producers wrapped in oversized hoodies and fuzzy beanies to carefree rockstars in trumpet flared sleeves and obsessive technicians in exaggerated lab coats made from heavy shirting.
Prepared Piano positions fashion and sound as interchangeable outputs of the same creative instinct. It’s a tribute not only to the future of music making but to the institutions and innovators who broke rules long before laptops entered the bedroom studio.
