Marni’s Spring Summer 2025 collection transformed cotton into a canvas of imagination, with creative director Francesco Risso turning everyday fabric into a playground of texture, silhouette, and narrative. Models moved through the showroom, giving the runway a lived‑in, narrative quality enhanced by live music from Dev Hynes.

The collection moved from sharp daywear with cropped chemises, slender blazers, and tailored leggings to more voluminous forms, including broad‑shouldered jackets, form‑skimming skirts, and evening gowns adorned with oversized florals or feathery cotton accents. Each look felt like a chapter in a larger visual story, balancing whimsy and structure.

Accessories and styling added a theatrical touch via bold headpieces and painted brows complementing the expressive silhouettes. The show highlighted Risso’s skill in combining playfulness with refinement, creating a collection that felt simultaneously approachable and visionary.

Beyond the runway, the presentation celebrated craft and materiality. Cotton was shown in a variety of textures, from crisp tailoring to soft, voluminous layering, showing how a single material can serve as a canvas for innovation and emotional expression.
