Tiffany & Co. has unveiled the Enamel Watch, a sparkling reinterpretation of Jean Schlumberger’s legendary paillonné enamel bangles from 1962. Part of the House’s ongoing tribute to Schlumberger’s inventive approach to design, the new watch fuses artistry, craftsmanship, and horological precision in a single 36 mm jewel of a timepiece.

The dial centers on a diamond-set disc, encircled by a rotating ring of Tiffany Blue or white enamel detailed with Schlumberger’s signature cross-stitch motif in 18k yellow gold. Each “hour marker” spins freely with every movement of the wrist, a playful nod to the designer’s love of whimsy and detail. Every watch requires more than 65 hours to craft, with meticulous enamel layering and hand-applied gold stitches that recall the labor-intensive techniques Schlumberger revived decades ago.

The Enamel Watch is as much about diamonds as it is about enamel mastery with the case and dial featuring nearly 3 carats of snow-set round brilliant diamonds, while the matching alligator strap or high-jewelry bracelet versions bring the total gem count up to more than 1,200 stones. Even the caseback carries a sunburst engraving inspired by Schlumberger’s Floral Arrows brooch, set with additional diamonds.

This debut marks a continuation of Tiffany’s enamel legacy, which stretches back to the 1870s and includes everything from decorative vases and Art Deco clocks to lapel watches and high-jewelry bangles. By translating these historic techniques into a contemporary wristwatch, Tiffany blends tradition with modernity, producing a timepiece that is simultaneously a wearable jewel and a celebration of decades of artistry.

The Enamel Watch is available in limited quantities, in Tiffany Blue or white enamel, with a full-pavé diamond edition for collectors seeking the ultimate expression of Schlumberger’s vision.
