Hiroshi Fujiwara has revealed a closer look at his latest collaboration with Seiko: the Seiko Metronome, fragment edition. True to form, the debut arrived quietly, with a white-dial version shared on Fujiwara’s Instagram and a black-dial variant unveiled through QUIET, his digital YouTube magazine.

The watch stays technically faithful to Seiko’s original Metronome model, housed in a matte stainless steel case but subtle design shifts set the fragment edition apart. On the white dial, tempo markings appear in red while BPM indicators are rendered in blue, alongside polished applied indices and fragment’s signature double lightning bolt above six o’clock. The black-dial version offers a more restrained monochrome approach, pairing white markings with a deep black backdrop.

A brief glimpse of the caseback reveals an engraving reading “VA FRAGMENT METRONOME,” suggesting a possible connection to Fujiwara’s V.A. Tokyo project. As with many fragment collaborations, the appeal lies in precision and restraint, an object designed to be noticed by those paying attention.
