Hermès is expanding their exclusive Hermessence fragrance line with Musc Pallida, a new fragrance part of the Fleur de Peau series. Following Cuir d’Ange, Violette Volynka, and Oud Alezan as a collection of intimate, skin-close scents, Musc Pallida is designed to feel personal and understated, an extension of the wearer rather than a statement.
Christine Nagel, Hermès’ Creative Director of Perfumes, built Musc Pallida around iris pallida, otherwise known as the dalmation or sweet iris, paired with soft musks for a powdery, luminous effect. The lantern bottle, finished with an ivory Hermès’ signature saddle-stitch leather cap, mirrors the warmth and subtlety of the scent inside. Across Fleur de Peau, each fragrance explores contrasts, leather with floral, oud with rose… creating tension and balance in every composition.
“In an olfactory transposition of the saddle stitch, the two materials – like two pieces of leather sewn together – gently embrace and reveal themselves to one another”
– Christine Nagel
With Musc Pallida, Hermès continues to position Hermessence as a quietly refined collection: fragrances that reward close attention and wear quietly, intimately, and deliberately.
Musc Pallida is available alongside the Crème de parfum online and in stores now.
