Apple has quietly levelled up its Vision Pro headset, which is now faster, smarter, and far more comfortable. The upgraded Apple Vision Pro introduces the new M5 chip, a redesigned Dual Knit Band, and visionOS 26, Apple’s latest spatial computing software. Together, they bring smoother performance, sharper visuals, and the kind of comfort that makes this ambitious headset feel more wearable for everyday use.

For those just getting familiar, Vision Pro is Apple’s “spatial computer,” a headset that lets users interact with apps, entertainment, and their surroundings in a fully immersive 3D environment. The M5 chip takes everything up a notch: apps open faster, graphics are cleaner, and battery life now stretches to about three hours of video playback (an improvement over the previous 2.5-hour model). AI-driven features like Personas and spatial photos also render more quickly, delivering a more lifelike experience.

The Dual Knit Band is the other major upgrade, swapping out the original single strap for a two-part, 3D-knit design that balances weight and improves airflow. It’s softer, stretchier, and available in multiple sizes for a fit that finally feels natural — not futuristic for the sake of it.

Running on visionOS 26, Vision Pro adds floating widgets, upgraded FaceTime Personas, and immersive content ranging from NBA games to new 3D films on Apple TV. With over a million apps now available — and 3,000+ built just for visionOS — there’s no shortage of ways to explore Apple’s spatial ecosystem.

Sleeker, faster, and finally more comfortable, this update feels like the Vision Pro Apple was always meant to deliver.  Starting at $4,999 CAD and launching October 22, with pre-orders open now at apple.com.
