Just one year after the debut of Barénia Eau de Parfum and the release of Barénia Perfumed Hair Mist earlier this year, Hermès expands the fragrance story today with the launch of Barénia Eau de Parfum Intense, a richer, more sensual interpretation that deepens the dialogue between memory and invention.
Christine Nagel, the perfume’s creator, reimagines the original composition to deepen the patchouli with an absolute, layering it with leathery accords, butterfly lily, and miracle berry. Oakwood adds a subtle structure, while a roasting process transforms the essence into a warm, rum-like backbone. The result is a fragrance that reveals Barénia Eau de Parfum Intense, a new facet of the Hermès woman who is at once enigmatic, instinctive, and intoxicatingly tactile.
Nagel explains, “When you touch Barénia leather, a kind of fusion happens between the texture and your skin. The leather returns your caress.” This harmony of strength and softness is mirrored in the perfume creating a captivating duality, where the sweetness of lily tempers the raw nature of leather.
Philippe Mouquet’s bottle design continues to echo last years original with an amber lacquer fading into a transparent glass base with the iconic Collier de chien metal accent supporting the cap.
Barénia Eau de Parfum Intense is available in four refillable sizes bottles now at Hermès boutiques worldwide.
