Hot on the heels of Pitti Uomo in Florence this week, the fashion set heads north today for the opening day of men’s fashion week in Milan. Brunello Cucinelli is always one of the most anticipated presentations of the season, and the fall winter 2025 collection reaffirms the brand’s mastery to balance timeless elegance and quiet refinement.

Entitled Anamnesis, an ancient Greek philosophy which means to recall past experiences or memories, the collection centres around clothing reclaiming “their original identity,” reads the press release, through a carefully curated palette defined by fine detailing and lightness. As always with Cucinelli, effortless sophistication and confidence underscore the entire collection, which showcases an intense amaranth shade across a number of garments, accented with subtle punches of pumpkin, sapphire, and cloud blue grounded by timeless greys, beiges, and light browns.

Denim and corduroy add a cozy yet laid-back edge to the collection, while flecked yarns and rare fibres redefine knitwear for the season. The traditional Shetland aesthetic and timeless appeal of an English rib-knit have been reimagined in a chevron vanisé technique, and models bring the colourful cardigans to life through unexpected styling over an elegant suit or suede jacket.

Cucinelli’s commitment to sustainability was also evident, as each piece exemplifies the pursuit of beauty while balancing a deep respect for the artisans who create it. As expected, every garment exudes a sense of luxury, especially the outerwear pieces, from a heavyweight mid-length shearling jacket to a knit trimmed suede moto jacket to a double-breasted flecked knit shacket and a belted sapphire wool ski jacket.

For the Cucinelli man, true luxury lies not in ostentation but in the confidence that comes from wearing something made to last through a wardrobe that’s an extension of one’s personality but also reminds us that elegance isn’t fleeting. It is eternal.
