Diptique has kicked off the year with the launch of their new limited edition Do Son collection, along with an animated film by Paris-based Werlen Meyer creative studio. Making the limited edition element even bigger and better, the film is set to a unique soundtrack by everyone’s favourite moody electronic singer-songwriter James Blake. All these elements help bring to life the unique inspiration behind one of Diptyque’s iconic fragrances, Do Son.
The perfume was inspired by one of Diptyque founders, Yves Coueslant’s childhood summers spent in Do Son, in the Along Bay. The salty winds would carry the heady and spicy smell of tuberose. The fragrance combines tuberose, orange blossom, jasmine and amber wood into an olfactory memory of wildflowers.
To celebrate the iconic smell, Diptyque is releasing limited-edition bottles for its eau de toilette and eau de parfum with the addition of a new size. There is also a limited edition cleansing hand and body gel and a set of perfumed soaps. For the home, a 190g Tubéreuse candle’s glass jar takes on a new blue colour, and a new 600g Tubéreuse candle in a ceramic jar, coloured in red that represents the classic Diptyque scent. All are available now.
